What is SilverStripe?
Good question! In short, SilverStripe is a content management system. You can learn more about SilverStripe here.↑ Back to top
How many times can I use my Stripey Theme?
You can use your Stripey Theme once for each licence you buy. If you wish to to build more than one website using a Stripey Theme you must buy additional licences.↑ Back to top
Are there any ongoing costs with Stripey Themes?
No! Once you have paid for a Stripey Theme licence we will not charge you to use it. You will, however, probably need to host your website somewhere and that usually incurs a monthly charge from a hosting provider.↑ Back to top
Who does your designs?
We have a troop of flying monkeys that design up all our sites. Fly my pretties, FLY!↑ Back to top
When I install I get a blank white screen, whats going on?
If you are getting a blank white screen during installation its likely because your hosting provider has PHP safe_mode enabled. Sometimes when safe_mode is installed its configured so that the website cannot access files it creates itself, please ask your hosting provider to turn off PHP safe_mode or ask us for a hosting provider that we recommend.
If you want to see the actual error you can look in the php error log on your server, there should be an error marked there.↑ Back to top
Installation asks me to changes permissions of folders, how do I do that?
You can often change the permisssions of a file or folder using an ftp program like filezilla. Often setting the permissions to 777 will fix the issue.↑ Back to top
When I install I get the error message: "date.timezone option in php.ini must be set in PHP5.3.0+", what do I do?
If you have PHP 5.3.0+ installed on your server you need to have the date timezone set. There are many straight forward ways to set the timezone, but perhaps the best is to have date.timezone set in the php.ini file to one of these timezones. Otherwise, you can use date_default_timezone_set() in the _config.php file.↑ Back to top
